Application:

Hastelloy B-2 (and its improved version B-3) is a premium corrosion-resistant nickel-molybdenum alloy. Its sheet and plate forms are widely used in extremely harsh reducing acid environments, serving as critical materials in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Applications: Specifically designed to withstand high-temperature hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, and acetic acids. Typical equipment includes reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, piping, and pickling systems. Thin sheets are often used for lining or fabricating lightweight components, while thicker plates are employed in pressure vessel shells, large storage tanks, and heavy structural parts.
